We hope you enjoy your stay at the Lincoln Motor Court, a little slice of history we work hard to maintain and share with enthusiastic guests. Motor courts and tourist cabins are a rare site these days, but were once a common lodging option in the era before chain hotels.

The Lincoln Motor Court was added to the Pennsylvania At Risk list in 2014. Preservation Pennsylvania hosted a work day to accomplish some maintenance tasks including painting and roofing.
Lincoln Motor Court on the Lincoln Highway is a great base for exploring all that Bedford County has to offer!
Motor Courts are a vanishing breed. We hope you'll stay with us and support our bit of American history!

The Lincoln Highway was an American first! Established in 1913. The Lincoln Motor Court was built in the 1940s to over travelers a place to stay overnight on their journey.

"Over the years, motor court cottages have disappeared from the American landscape. At one time, there were 13 different motor courts in Bedford County, Pennsylvania, alone. Today, the Lincoln Motor Court is the only surviving tourist cabin court on the Lincoln Highway from New York City to San Francisco that is open to overnight guests. The present owners have owned the Motor Court since 1983 and have worked hard to maintain the integrity of each of the cottages, as well as the property as a whole, in order to provide an authentic Lincoln Highway-era experience to visitors."
